Added

  • Make a colour style from an area's colour. With areas selected in vector edit, Area fill's style button now offers "Create style from this fill", as a layer's Fill does: the new style takes the areas' colour and the areas follow it, in one step that one Ctrl+Z takes back. The + on the colour picker's Styles tab does the same while the picker is open on an area.

Changed

  • Flatten keeps a boolean's curves. Object → Flatten (Ctrl+E) on a boolean used to bake every curve into a chain of short straight segments: a circle minus a circle became 172 points. It now keeps the curves as curves, with their handles: the same shape is 6 points. Flattening a boolean without Polyform's engine (if it couldn't start) still gives straight segments.
  • A boolean's name and its History step follow its operation. A boolean you haven't renamed is renamed when its Operation changes in the Inspector ("Union" becomes "Subtract"); a name you gave it stays. The History step reads "Boolean Union", "Boolean Subtract" and so on, where it said "Boolean UNION".

Fixed

  • Signing in from the welcome screen opens your first project ready to edit. After signing in on a first launch, "Start designing" led to a new project that opened read-only in Dev Mode, until you pressed Shift+D. The window now goes back to Design when you sign in with no project open. With a project open, signing in still leaves the window in the mode it is in.
  • The pen's hint says what Esc does. With the pen out, the status line said "Esc to cancel", but Esc finishes the path and keeps it, as Enter does. It now says "Enter or Esc to finish". Ctrl+Z still takes the path back.
  • Flatten keeps a boolean's holes. Flattening a boolean that had a hole, such as a square minus a circle inside it, filled the hole in: the result was a solid square. The hole now stays a hole.
  • The colour picker no longer promises a + that isn't there. Where the picker has no + (the Paint bucket's colour, Selection colours, the pencil, a variable, a colour style in Assets), its Styles tab says "No colour styles yet" without "+ saves this one".
