The second beta of Polyform for Windows fixes two problems found in 0.9.0-beta.1. If you have 0.9.0-beta.1, it offers this update by itself; otherwise, download it from getpolyform.com/download.

Exporting

  • Exports no longer save grey boxes in place of your images. An export made soon after opening a file could save grey placeholders where placed images belong, because the images had not finished loading. Exports now wait for them. If an image still hasn't loaded after 30 seconds, the export stops and says so, rather than saving a file with grey boxes. This covers every PNG, JPG and WebP export: File → Export, the Inspector's Export section, Dev Mode's assets, Export Prototype, the parts of a PDF drawn as pictures, the command line, and agents' exports and snapshots.

Agents

  • The canvas no longer says "AI is interacting" after an agent stops. The label at the top of the canvas could keep saying so for minutes after the agent's last action. It now changes to "AI is connected" about 2.5 seconds after it.
  • An agent that leaves without saying goodbye stops being counted. If its connection drops without one, Polyform stops counting it 3 minutes later, and the label goes away when no other agent is attached.

Known issues

  • Windows only for now. macOS and Linux come later.
  • Not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen asks before the installer runs: More info, then Run anyway.
