Agents can download images from the web, if you let them.import_image now also takes url, one https:// address, so an agent that found a reference image online can use it instead of pasting it as base64. It is off until you turn on "Download images from the web" in Agent → Agent Connection, under FILES. Then the first address on each site asks you: the chip says "AI asks to download images · images.example.com" with Review…, which names the site and the address and says what the site sees. Allow lets it download from that site for this session, or always if you tick "Always allow this site"; Not now refuses the site for the session. A site is its host name exactly: allowing images.example.com doesn't allow cdn.example.com. Each download is made by Polyform on this PC, straight to the site and never through a proxy: https only, with no cookie, sign-in or Referer, only from public addresses (never your router, your network or Polyform's own endpoint), at most 3 redirects, 50 MB and 30 seconds, then the same image checks as a file. The site sees your computer's IP address and the time, as with any download; Polyform sends it nothing else, and nothing about it reaches us. If you are behind a proxy that is the only way out, downloads can't be made. The window lists the sites under the row, with Remove; while an agent works the card says "Read 12 images from Hero · downloaded 2 from images.example.com", and Show lists each download by its address. Addresses are never written into your file. polyform mcp serve downloads only from the sites given with --allow-web. (#315)
