File → Open Recent lists your last ten projects, newest first, right after Open Project…, so you don't have to look for them in a dialog. Each shows its name and the folder it's in, as on the start screen, and the project that's open is left out. Choosing one opens it as Open Project does: your changes are saved first, and it works in Dev Mode and view only. If a project has been moved or deleted, or its drive isn't connected, Polyform says it can't find it and offers Remove from List; nothing else changes. Clear Recently Opened at the end empties the list, the start screen's too; your projects stay where they are. The menu follows each open, new project, Save As, copy and Clear at once. (#293)
The menu bar works from the keyboard. Alt+F opens File (Alt+E Edit, Alt+V View, and so on), the arrow keys move, → opens Open Recent, Enter chooses and Esc backs out. In Open Recent, 1 to 9 open the project with that number. (#293)
Your recent projects are on the taskbar. Right-click Polyform on the Windows taskbar, or on Start, and the projects File → Open Recent lists are there under Recent projects; click one to open it, in the Polyform that's running or in a new one. Projects that have been moved or deleted are left out. Polyform keeps this list to itself: it doesn't add your projects to Windows' own Recent list. (#296)
Changed
File → Import ▸ and Export ▸. The File menu's ten import and export commands are now two submenus, like Open Recent, so the menu is short enough to read at a glance: Import ▸ has Image… (Ctrl+Shift+K), 3D Model…, SVG… and Figma File (.fig)…; Export ▸ has PNG… (Ctrl+Shift+E), JPG…, PDF…, SVG…, Prototype… and Variables…. The shortcuts are unchanged and shown in the submenus; the keys open them with →, and a diagonal move into one keeps it open. In view only the imports are still dimmed with a lock. (#301)
Open Recent stays open on the way to it. Moving the pointer diagonally from File → Open Recent into its projects no longer closes it when the pointer crosses Save or Open Project… on the way: a row you cross waits until the pointer rests on it, about a third of a second, before it takes over. Moving straight up or down the menu changes the row at once, as before, and the keys are unchanged. (#295)
The keyboard shortcuts page in the user guide lists the Comment tool's C, Shift+C, Dev Mode's V, H, M and C, the keys for comments and the layer list, and the menus' keys. It is generated from the app's own key handlers, and a release can no longer be built with it out of date (F-363). (#295)
Fixed
A project you start Polyform with opens. Double-clicking a .poly file, "Open with" or a taskbar jump list item while Polyform was closed showed the start screen and left the project unopened; so did a second launch while the first was still starting. Polyform now holds the project until its window is ready for it (F-364). (#296)
