0.9.0-beta.3Beta

Released

The third beta of Polyform for Windows brings accounts. Polyform is free for everyone during the beta: sign in once, and editing stays free until Polyform 1.0. If you have an earlier beta, it offers this update by itself; otherwise, download it from getpolyform.com/download.

Signing in

  • Sign in to edit, free during the beta. Polyform asks you to sign in once, in your browser, with an account on getpolyform.com. No card is needed. Editing is free for everyone until Polyform 1.0; after that, a 14-day trial starts.
  • Your files always open. Without an account, Polyform still opens, presents and exports every project, and agents can still read it. Signing in only unlocks editing, and your projects stay on your PC.
  • Your password never reaches Polyform. You sign in on getpolyform.com in your browser, and Polyform keeps only this PC's sign-in, encrypted by Windows. Sign out from the account button at the top right; it also signs this PC out of your account.
  • Polyform works offline. It checks your account in the background and never waits for the network to start. After 37 days without reaching getpolyform.com, editing pauses until it reconnects; your files still open.

View only

  • When editing isn't allowed, Polyform opens in Dev Mode with Design locked. You can still inspect, measure, copy code, export, present and save a copy. The lock says why, and what still works.
  • Agents and plugins keep reading. Their edits are refused with the reason, and so are the command line's.

Known issues

  • Windows only for now. macOS and Linux come later.
  • Not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen asks before the installer runs: More info, then Run anyway.
