0.9.0-beta.8Beta
New entries go here under Added, Changed and Fixed, and move into a version's section when it is released.
Added
- Move to page. Right-click a layer, on the canvas or in the Layers panel, and choose Move to page to send it to another page. It keeps everything that points at it: instances of a main component you move still follow it, and style and variable links and prototype links stay. The layer lands in the same place on the canvas, and Ctrl+Z brings it back in one step. A prototype link only plays within a page, so if one end moves and the other stays, the link is kept but won't play until both are on the same page again; the status bar says how many.
Fixed
- Shaders come along when you paste into another project. A layer whose material uses one of the project's own shaders arrived in another project with no material. Paste, Paste properties and a library's components and material styles now copy the shader too. If the other project already has a different shader with the same name, it is left alone: the pasted one comes in as "glow-2" (for example), the status bar says so, and the pasted layers use it.
- Agents keep to one page per edit. An agent that named a frame on another page as the place for its work was let through, and the work landed on that page while the agent was told it had landed on another. It is now refused, with the page to name instead. Agents can move layers to another page the same way Move to page does, and an agent moving a layer into one of its own layers gets a plain refusal instead of an internal error.
- Pictures come along when you paste into another project. Layers copied in one project and pasted into another arrived without their images, as grey boxes, unless the other project already held the same picture. A paste now copies the image files across too, and so do Paste properties and a library's components and styles. If an image can't be found, for example because the first project was moved or deleted, the layers are still pasted and the status bar says how many images couldn't be copied.
